WILDLIFE-OBSERVERS SAFARI CAMPS
Our observers’ safari camps sleep 6 guests only and offer authentic, intimate, exclusive and personalized accommodation. You’ll settle into relaxed comfort and immerse yourself into the natural surroundings for a total connection and closeness to African wildlife.
Each observer-safari camp is fully serviced and consist of three spacious Meru-style guest tents with alfresco en-suite bathrooms featuring flush toilets, warm water showers, indoor solar lantern lights, outdoor paraffin lamps, comfortable beds, crisp linen, and towels.
Power points for charging cameras and devices are available in the dining area. At both camps, we have a communal dining tent where a chef and waiter serve freshly cooked meals as well as plenty of refreshing drinks. There are three freshly cooked meals served daily including a 3-course meal every evening. We supply plenty of refreshments on all guided wildlife activities, bottled water, soft drinks, fruit juices, tea and coffee, and limited alcohol. Evenings are spent around a campfire recounting the day’s wildlife experiences while enjoying a drink. Our bar is stocked with standard wines, beers, gin, and tonics.
The observers-safari camps do not have internet. We are totally disconnected from the world and connected to wildlife. We will do our very best to cater to any special food and beverage requests if we know about them in advance. Please talk to us about your requirements when you confirm your booking. We have a satellite phone in camps in the event of emergencies or other urgent situations
Booking the wildlife-observers walking safari is an effort to conserve wildlife and makes your trip to Africa meaningful. Using the tourism dollar from our safari guests, we have been able to create the African Safari Walks Community Ploughback program. The ASW Community Ploughback program provides land tillage ox-drawn ploughs to local communities living nearby but outside Hwange National Park so that they can grow crops for eating and selling to sustain their families. Through the ASW Community Ploughback program, African Safari Walks is able to effectively communicate anti-poaching and wildlife conservation to local communities because the program demonstrates that conservation tourism is practically beneficial to the livelihoods in the nearby communities.
